Recovery from failed RAID arrays (0, 1, 5, 6, 10, RAID-Z), SAN/NAS systems, and enterprise storage. We support Dell PowerEdge, HP ProLiant, Lenovo ThinkSystem, and all major server platforms.
Recovery from employee laptops, workstations, and company-issued devices. Support for encrypted drives (BitLocker, FileVault), domain-joined machines, and corporate image systems.
Data recovery after ransomware attacks, malware encryption, or accidental mass deletion. We work with your IT security team to recover data while preserving forensic evidence.
Backup strategy review, disaster recovery planning, and employee training. We help you prevent data loss before it happens — based on 35+ years of seeing what goes wrong.
We understand that different industries have different requirements for data handling, compliance, and urgency:
Recovery of transaction data, trading systems, and customer databases. PCI DSS awareness, strict chain-of-custody documentation.
Patient record recovery, medical imaging data (DICOM), hospital information systems. GDPR and health data regulations compliance.
Recovery of case files, court documents, and classified information. NDA and security clearance available upon request.
CAD files, production data, quality control databases, PLC/SCADA system backups. We understand the cost of production downtime.
Development repositories, virtual machines, container data, cloud backup recovery. We speak your language.
Video production files, photography archives, audio masters, design projects. Recovery from NAS arrays and direct-attached storage used in creative workflows.
Not an intermediary — your data never leaves our facility. ISO Class 5 laminar flow box, 10,000+ donor drives in stock.
Including Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and critical infrastructure operators across Europe.
Free NDA for all corporate clients. Full GDPR compliance including Austrian DSG and German BDSG. Compliance documentation for your auditors.
You receive a binding price quote after diagnostics. If we cannot recover your data, you pay nothing for the recovery — only the €45 pickup/diagnostics fee.
From government agencies to Fortune 500 companies, organizations trust DataHelp with their most critical data:
| Servers | Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Lenovo ThinkSystem, Supermicro, Fujitsu Primergy — tower, rack and blade form factors |
|---|---|
| Storage arrays | HPE MSA, Dell EqualLogic/Compellent, IBM Storwize, NetApp FAS, Synology XS/XS+/UC, QNAP Enterprise, Infortrend, Nimble |
| Virtualisation | VMware ESXi (VMFS), Hyper-V (VHD/VHDX), Proxmox, XenServer, KVM — recovery from broken datastores and virtual disks |
| Databases | Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, Oracle, MongoDB — we recover database files, not re-execute queries |
| Tape backup | LTO-1 to LTO-9 (with matching drive), DAT, DLT — legacy tape recovery on request |
Power off affected servers / NAS — preserve the state of the failed system for forensic analysis.
Document the incident: time, symptoms, recent changes, last known backup — we need this for optimal recovery path.
Preserve logs (controller logs, NAS event log, SMART data) — send them with the device for faster diagnostics.
For ransomware: do NOT pay the ransom. Contact us — in many cases we can recover from snapshots or shadow copies.
Data recovery is not a substitute for a proper backup and disaster recovery plan. Our service is for cases where backups have failed, are incomplete, or are unavailable — and the production system needs data that would otherwise be lost. We recommend parallel tracks: our recovery for the immediate data, plus a review of backup strategy with your IT team.
For ongoing production operations during recovery, we can coordinate with your IT provider to set up a parallel replacement system. Our deliverable is your data on a verified medium, ready for import into the replacement infrastructure. The original failed system is returned to you or disposed of securely — never reused.
For enterprise customers we sign NDAs, can work under specific compliance requirements (GDPR, ISO 27001, DSGVO, HIPAA-adjacent), and can issue chain-of-custody documentation for every recovery operation.
On enterprise storage failures, resist the temptation to "just reboot" or "just rebuild" — these shortcuts often turn a 1-day recovery into a 2-week reconstruction. Isolate the failed system from the network, stop all write activity, and document the state before any diagnostic steps.
For ransomware incidents specifically: do not wipe affected systems. Modern ransomware often leaves recoverable data in shadow copies, unmounted snapshots, or vendor-specific backup volumes that attackers miss. Preserving the system intact gives us the best chance to recover without paying the ransom.
Enterprise data recovery demands specific workflows: signed NDAs, priority service with dedicated technicians, chain-of-custody documentation, and coordination with your IT team and external vendors (Dell ProSupport, HPE, Synology support). We handle all of these as standard for business customers.
Our infrastructure supports enterprise work: ISO Class 5 laminar flow boxes, PC-3000 Data Extractor RAID, R-Studio Technician for RAID reconstruction, 10,000+ donor drive inventory, secure evidence storage for forensic chain of custody, and dedicated clean-room workstations. For specific compliance or audit requirements we can accommodate on request.
Our team has over 35 years of combined industry experience with enterprise recovery cases across Central and Western Europe. We have recovered data for banks, hospitals, government agencies, manufacturing and logistics companies — spanning cases from single-drive laptops up to 24-drive SAN arrays and multi-server virtualisation clusters.
